Yeah. So today we're gonna we have some fun things we're gonna share with you guys. Um, we have things to talk about beauty, hair, sleep, uh, home products that you're gonna bring out. Yes. Um, and several things uh our 25-year-old selves would probably think are very freaking boring. Although we do use a lot of the things our girls would probably love to use actually. Or those things our girls steal. Steal.

So these are yeah, so these are just super fun products, and these are things that I personally in midlife 56 make me feel better, make my life easier, probably will resonate with many people because they're just your average basic stuff. Some are a little bit pricier, some are actually very inexpensive. So we're gonna link everything um online in the show notes. What is your what's your product that you want to start with? Okay, um, so yeah, we just kind of like we each decided to pick out our five-ish products. We have like eight or six. So many, but our five-ish favorite products that we want to share with you guys that I think will be helpful in your lives as well. We tried to pare it down, but it was hard because there's so many. Okay, so um I love Ulta and Sephora and all the good things at Target and all the makeup, yummy makeup things that my kids also like. But the one thing that I feel like I use every single day, it takes me five minutes to do my makeup, um, is my Laura Geller um baked full face palette. Oh, it's so good. Um, so good, so good she bought two of them and forgot.

So good, yes. I she was talking about it, she brought it on a vacation. I did not bring it. I thought, oh my gosh, I must have this.

Okay, it's so good. Like, I get compliments, you know. I think I told you guys before, like I like to look tan and bronzed and a certain product that you're gonna share while you because you always look tan, but um, I like to look shimmery. This is like an all-in-one palette, it's so super easy. It has a blush, a bronzer, a powder. I don't use these, I don't wear eyeshadow, so I don't use those, but there's like some good basic, like some really good basics, and then I love the shimmer. Um, the shimmer, what is this called? It's a highlighter. It's a highlighter, and I love it like to put on my nose, and then I put it like at the top of my lips too. So that's good, yeah. And kind of just on the cheek. And just on the cheek, but it's literally like a palette. I put my face lotion on, I let that dry, and then I just kind of mix them all. I'm not this actually, I'm not the um the most uh I don't take a lot of time on my makeup. I just don't.

And it always looks her makeup always is flawless. But the bronzer, that's actually so this is what actually I owned. And you unlocked the whole separate palette. Yes, that's what I realized. Oh, I actually own the Laura Geller bronzer. Yeah. Then I bought this palette when we were there. But this bronzer, you just put it all over your face, and it's like it's so many different colors, but it just blends in so many beautiful.

I mean, it's really known, like she makes makeup. She does. I don't even know if there's really a Laura Geller. There is. There actually is well it's made for women. Oh, and it gives you like a tutorial on the back, which I don't think. She's in midlife too. Well, so it's made for women over 40, this makeup. And it she has a ton of other stuff. I have, I do have a um like a comp like a pressed powder, and it comes with like a retractable uh um makeup, like a blush brush, and I keep that in my car if I kind of need to do any like little touch-ups, but I just it takes me like five minutes, and I would be so sad like if this ever discontinued. This is my second one, and I think I've been using it for maybe like two and a half years, and I just got my second one.

And you feel like you look polished without being overdone.

Yeah, I just always like to look beachy and tan, um, you know, and if I put on some like fake lashes, and I've still wear the same, the same routine. If I go to a wedding or if I'm going out, like it's still the same. I just if I want to glam it up, I'll put lashes and like a darker lipstick on. But okay. Yeah, it's good. So now I say like in three minutes you can go from being I think. I mean, I might if I have a blemish, I'll use the you know, like a um, you know, a foundation or whatever to concealer. Yeah, concealer to cover, but I yeah, I'm not a huge like but right now you have all on your face.

Lean in. It's so good. It's so I love it. It's just really pretty. It just blends in. The lighting, the lighting is funny, it's we're in a studio. Well, we're in our when my we're in our studio. Our studio with the lighting is not the best because you know, we're not professional.

Okay, I just a normal face lotion on palette. Yeah, like I I think this is actually called like the medium, okay, the medium palette. That makes sense. And if you need to know any colors, we'll link everything, but it comes with the Tahitian Glow bronzer and the pink buttercream. Do you remember the price point on this? It's always on freaking sale for like 40% off. I want to say it was like $45.

That is okay, and it lasts forever. Like a year. I wanted well, the bronzer I've had, I feel like I'm on year two, and I haven't even made a dent in it.

I mean, I like, believe me, I like Charlotte Tilbury. I like, I still like some MAC products. I love um, you know, all the ones the girls are wearing. Um, Road and Um, what's her name? Justin Bieber's wife's makeup. Like I do love some of the beer glosses and things like that, but I just think for my each, like I just think I have to wear something, just something that is made for 40 over in it. It's $45. Oh, it's $45. Right. It goes on sale. Sometimes it's on sale, sometimes it's not. Um, yeah, so go, I'll put the link. Um, and we'll do links for everything. But anyway, it's such a if you're over 40 and you don't love to like do a full face of makeup and you just want to like use one brush and blend it all together, which my sister, who was a makeup artist for many years, would probably be cringing in her seat right now because I just put everything together and put it on. It works for me. She probably thinks that you she, I mean, she always is beautiful, so I'm sure she thinks it's great. She works for me. Yeah, it works for me. And you know, it is it. I I love it. And she's beautiful, and she has her whole set of makeup, but um, okay, that's me, Laura Geller. First one down.

It is a great and that's a great one because it's universal for kids in so many areas. Okay, my yes, next favorite is it is the Cocoa and Eve Lego Virgin. I love that. It is a super nourishing cocoa and fig hair mask. So this little puppy, I bought this back in probably October of last year. Okay. I you probably can't see it, but it's literally half full. Because all you do once or twice a week, and I use this in the shower, it's a five to ten minute hair mask. So you can do it two ways is shampoo, right? Kind of get the water out, yeah, put it in your hair, leave it on in the shower, which is what I do, shave, all that fun stuff. I leave it on probably like seven minutes, or you can then, of course, get out, put it on after. The main thing is you just have to use warm water to rinse it. Yeah. So that's where five to ten minutes, maybe a little bit longer. It smells so good. So good.

Okay, so we have um a our whole friend group has this because we did a favorite things Christmas exchange last year, which we will talk about because that was so much fun. That was so much fun. What was our price point? Um, I want to say it was like under 50, or I think it was, right? I think we added up to under 50, and then it was like if you had two favorite things, but it was super fun. She gave our friend group So this is like $32. Yeah.

And this and it's I still have mine in my shop. Yes, and it because it lasts forever because you use so little of it. And my hair is first of all, my hair is mousy brown um naturally. So this is very, very highlighted. And as I've gotten older, I've lost hair, I've got extensions, it's definitely gotten coarser. My natural hair, if I don't, let's say straighten it, is pretty frizzy. Yeah, I still need to learn to curl because I don't, I'm like the hair, I'm just obviously horrible with my hair. But this stuff just you put it on, it just makes it feel silky and it also smells so yummy. And I know many of our daughters will come over. Um, I know my girls, when they've come over and used our shower, love this. I know one of our other friends' daughters absolutely love this. So it's just a it's honestly it's a great gift to give. Yeah, where did you find it? Like, how do you know, like, where'd you find it?

They have, I mean, Coco Heat was amazing. I'm sure it was an Instagram influencer late at night, and I was like, oh, my hair, you know, like one of those fun things that wasn't expensive, I knew it would last forever, and thought, oh, I want to definitely try that. I heard, I looked up some reviews about it, but when I got it and smelled it, I was like, oh, this just smells so yummy. And then the fact that it like kind of like makes your hair feel so silky.

I mean, speak for yourself, I'm sure. Like we're Puritans over here. So that's my that's my first one, and I would say it's a great gift for yourself, and it's a great gift for anyone, yes, any other female who has you know hair or a scalp. Just if you write a scalp, just boil on.

Yeah, and it smells so good. So we all have it, and yeah, I'm glad that $32. That's so and it's yeah, it's such a nice gift. It probably lasts for uh probably a minimum of a year, I would say. Yeah, I would say last time it's still half full, and you gave it to us in December. Yeah, and it's almost August. Yeah, it's almost an Augusty re-rolling. If you're listening to us now, it's it's uh July of 2026. Um, okay, that's a good one. Love that one. Okay, um, the next one is me again. Yes, okay. What are you talking about? I am talking about what I brought over here before I got ready to come over to Hillary's to our studio. Um, I was curling my hair with my absolute favorite curling iron that if this thing ever broke, I would order one. Well, I think it's on the Fritz because I've had it quite a few years. But it's a bio, a bio-ionic. This is a 1.25 curling iron, and it does have a long barrel, but it gives me the best freaking curls out of I know, and I've had so many. You have a lot of curls.

I have so many curling irons, so I'm so interested as to why this okay. So again, I have curling irons, but I don't really need to. So you have like the lingerie, how does it? The pink launch, I already say that the airflow thing. I have a big, I have the big one that our hairdresser, our hairstylist uses. I I have probably four or five, yeah, of which I still have not figured out how to use. I use my hair straightener, yeah, because that's foolproof. But I am very interested. Why is this out of all of the products? Yeah, why is this the best for you? You mean out of like all like let's say all of you I know you know all the ones I have. Why are your products that you bought? Why is this your favorite? What does it do that makes you easier?

I don't know. I think the heat settings, okay, well, it goes to 430. I try to not go up that high, obviously. Um, but it the barrel's long, so it's like you can honestly like I always leave my ends out, right? And then it like it'll curl your entire length of hair in one. So you're not you don't have these like big straight pieces at the top, and then when I bring it out, it just makes like the best curls ever. I don't know. Um, my girls both have one. I think Layla has the one inch, and Maddie might have the one inch, and I have the 1.25. I like a bigger curl.

So bigger girls. So the barrel equals a bigger size curl. Yeah. So you want the more beachy. I like it more beachy versus tighter is smaller. Yes, yes. That makes sense. I like it. Um do you use a hair protectant before you use this?

So you spray your hair. I don't do that, so it's probably a good thing. I just what am I supposed to do that with my flat iron?

Yes, when it's wet, you need a hair protectant. My hair's fully dry when I straight iron hair. When you no, you need the hair protectant and when it's damp. So if someone out there has a great hair protectant. I have yeah, I'll see from the supply store.

Oh, no, that's like Amazon. That's really cool. But it like it's you know, you'll you'll save some money. Absolutely. Dry the hair protectant. Okay. So hair protectant, and then you use this. And it takes you about how long to do your head.

Well, I recently took my extensions out. Yes. So before it would probably take me like 30 minutes to curl my whole hair. My hair was like, I don't know, down to here.

Like you feel like that's a long time. I think, yeah, I think that's a long time, is it not? I just put a podcast on or music on, and I just, and I want my curls to stay so I leave it on my curl for a while. Okay, so you put it in and tell me what are you holding it for? Well, I mean, I don't know. I guess I'm like curling it like this. I'm just interested because it's so bad. I'll I'll hold it. I'll do one of my brows while I'm holding it. You know, so I would I would still be holding it. Okay. Yeah, I mean I just So that's why you need the heat protectant. Yes.

My uh hairstylist in California used to say you get one pass through with your flat iron. Like you gotta make it, make it my girlfriend Kelly, who does hair too for a year, she would say the same thing. If we if you're a blonde, you get one chance to pull your flat iron through.

But you're not really blonde. Yes, but you're not. Do I have strong or do I have no? That's why our hair, you know, breaks. Anyway, bio I on it. Okay. Again, we'll link all the things, but um, it's such I'm it's such it does have a longer barrel, so it does feel like it's a little heavier, like you're curling, but I think it's great.

I also think that with a longer barrel, I like the look of that because I feel like I would be less uh worried about myself burning myself. Because I think that's actually why I'm always a little because I'm a little inept with it. So like holding it and feeling it.

Sure, that's sort of, but I just always feel that with the way I'm holding it, I'm always worried that I'm just not. How about the burns you used to get on your neck and your parents would think it was a hickey? Well, maybe they really were hickeys. I have to say, I don't think I ever got a burn on my neck. I did. But I did have some marks.

We've got an outlet, but like the store was always so colorful though. Okay, yeah, so cute. So that's my favorite curlin iron. They do have it on Amazon. Um, uh they yeah, they have the price point. Um, it is around $100. Oh, that is not or maybe it's like $114 right now.

Um yeah, you gotta trust your beauty soul when you have it like right next to your chair. Oh yeah, so like right now it's 114 bucks on Amazon. And you know, maybe you can find it cheaper, you know, somewhere else, but Amazon's usually yeah, every size on here is 114.10 right now.

So oh I love that. So all the barrel sizes are the same cost. Oh, I love it. Okay, yeah. I'm not buying that um until you don't need to put it on me and then shows me and teaches me how to use it. Yeah, because I cannot add one more tool to my arsenal.

And that is the trick, is like going on YouTube and watching a stylist use the bioionic and how long she leaves it on and how she twists it up and how she lets it go is like really determines how your curl looks. That's a good suggestion. And I've always kind of worked in salons. I know you're like, yeah, I just have always liked doing hair, so make a pair, you're good. I told Leslie she needs to teach um curliner.

Or hairstylist, she should. I would be the first person, and she'd probably fire me and kick me off. It's kind of like when you go to pet training and then they say that your animal's not the problem, you're the problem. I'm a hundred percent of the problem.

Okay, okay, so you're and the reason I'm gonna I really am excited for her to talk about this because I want to buy these, and I'll let her talk about them, is because you get to wake up looking beautiful and tan every day, and I have to apply it every day.

Yeah, and it's not even like so tan. These are the it's basically number 12. Oh yeah, and it's basically that's just called face drops. So it's I think it's just Lux Unfiltered. We actually have our fabulous progressives that we'll put on. But it's this little tiny bottle, and I will link it too. I'm probably what like about I've used about probably two-thirds of this. I've owned this for this is at least, I'd say, nine months. Okay. You use so little of it, but the biggest thing is, and I've done this a couple of ways, is I was putting this because I was not listening to the instructions. Oh, I'm not sure. The instructions are shocking. The instructions are you're supposed to take your moisturizer and you put a few of the drops in. So depending on how much color you want, you can do four, I think up to like eight. Okay. So I, being the rebel that I am, would do my moisturizer, and then I would do the drop separate. So you didn't follow direction. I don't follow directions. Okay. So, and I will tell you is you do get a little tanner. If you do that, all I'm gonna say is wash your hands and then really use a scrub because there was a few days I would wake up and I'm like, oh, I actually got stopped. This is not funny, but we were going to California, and it was right when the um football, the Super Bowl was. And we weren't going to the Super Bowl, we just happened to be flying to the same, let's say, airport, and I got they were swabbing everyone's hands, and I had just used this and I had color on my hand because I hadn't washed it off or scrubbed it off appropriately the night before. Yeah. And I said to the guy, if you're swabbing my hands, I have self-tanner, you can see it. I glowed, I had to do the full.

When you were dying, the girls we were actually lit up like a we were going when we were doing my niece's bachelor, like her shower. We were going to that. My girls were, we were let left. Well, the airplane almost left. They went through all of my bags. So if you're using this properly, put it in your moisturizer, four to five drops. You put it on at night. You will wake up and you're not going to be tan tan. You're gonna have just kind of a little nice glow.

Yeah, I would say I'm not dark though. If you want to do dark, then you have to be repetitive from the natural like very fair. I'm naturally very light. Yeah. Yes. I've got freckles, I'm light. I I tan, I actually do tan now. I would have burned normally when I was younger. But yeah, you can do it. I mean, I've done it both ways. I'm not saying not to do it solo. Just really wash your hands and use a scrub.

Yeah, and this just kind of gives you that little glow-up. And what is the product? What does this cost? It's not I was gonna say, how much is it and where do we get it? Okay, well, everyone knows I only buy my stuff on Amazon. Okay. So, because I like stuff to get delivered to me.

And I will say though, I need to stop I need to start shopping locally, but no one sells this here. Um so number 12 tanning drops, let me just tell you. I should have pulled this before, but they are okay, it is dun dun, $42. It is Lux Unfiltered, and yeah, $42. Yeah. You can get them overnight depending on your location. And it lasts you, I mean this is a this bottle is a good year. A year ago. It's going to be a year. It's because you obviously you're not using it. If you want, let's say, to achieve a little bit darker, yeah, then just use it maybe a couple nights back to back. Yeah. But it's just it is. I have to say, it's my absolute favorite product.

We do always know when you bust them out like in early spring, all of a sudden she's like very tan because we're ready for the sun in like May. When it's so cold here still, we're like if we go to lunch, we're like, oh, we're gonna be able to do that.

Yeah, because you look in the mirror and you're like, oh my gosh, I just look so I just look and feel sad. No, but if you can't tone it, if you can't tone it, tan it. Now, granted, it's tone your face. Well, I mean, trust me, if I could I had to do a facelift to tone my face. So that was way more than the $42. So this is a drop in the bucket for the bigger problems. Okay, those are awesome.

Okay, my next one. Um, I was obsessed when Chris was alive. He was a huge snorer, you guys. Like, ah, he should have gone to the doctor and probably have been on a CPAP machine, but he he he wasn't. I suffered through, would sleep in another bedroom sometimes. Um it's so hard when they snore. Oh, so and you know, they don't know. They don't know they snore. You don't I I think I breathe heavy, but I don't think, you know, he was always like, I don't snore. I've recorded them just so you all know. I like haven't I'm like listen. So that's not me. That's not me. Anyway, um, so I would use these bows, um, which I've shared with a ton of people. These bows, um, they're they were called sleep pods, and they were an actual like an airpod for your ear made by bows. Well, they stopped making them in mine totally but the dust. So um I I think I've tried like every earplug under the sun um to try to like drown out noise. I'm a very light sleeper, so drowned out. So I hear everything. I even sleep with a fan on. I need to just hear this like quiet, just like uh muffled quietness in order to sleep. So when those broke and then Bose went out of bed, they don't sell those anymore. They you can't get on the app. Even if you have them, I think they stopped the app. And they were like $250. Oh, those are expensive. They were so expensive. Um, but in this little tiny case, yeah, look, that's so cute, so small. Um, the loop, they're called loop earbugs. And I was like, those are a freaking gimmick, but there's like four different um I don't know, types of loop. So these are called the sleep, um, the dream. These are called the loop dream, and they're just these like little, I don't know why they work. They're super, but I've tried every freaking earplug under you can pick a bunch of different colors. Super cute colors. So they're there, these are teal. Uh I mean you probably can't see, but they're so cute. They come in this little teeny um, so they have dream pods. Okay, mu I think music pods, like if you go to a concert, um, everyday pods, like honestly, since Chris passed away, like I feel like I'm very like hypersensitive to like noises now and just kind of like get overstimulated really easily. Just I never used to feel that way. Like even in the grocery store, you know, I can hardly go to the grocery store. They have like everyday um loop earbuds, and you can just like wear them and it like just takes people down a notch, which is kind of like filters out the bottom. It filters out just like, yeah, or like let's just say uh a kid was screaming, or like somebody dropped something in the grocery store, like something broke, it would like literally just like take the edge off. Put this in to my chippy and said, Okay, you know my skincare issues. I actually took a picture of my skin. He was a little rough. I'm like, dude, yeah, back off. Like, he's like, Yeah, your texture's a little this, your coloring's a little back. Yeah, and he built me, and I now have a morning routine, I have an evening routine that we switch off because it's got some retinal stuff in it. So, and then I I probably am using seven of the products. So a bunch of them are just to the side. There's a couple things. I mean, what you I'm gonna get there because the idea is I'm gonna use these because I really want to see. No, I just jumped right in.

Yeah. So every night he gets in bed and I walk over and I put a little of this on and I go back and do mine, and I come back a minute later and do the next step. His is a four-step product, his is easy. But yeah, I mean it takes all of maybe like seven minutes. I mean, but it's got like a lip, there's actually a lip product in here that is fantastic that you do every single thing. But I can't, I cannot tell you guys this $100. Yeah. I mean, there's and I'm not, I love skincare, but I'm not spending $100 on one product. Yeah. Like I just, it's I mean, I know it's out there. I know there's also great some of the Instagram influencers who are dermatologists. Yeah, I love those when they show like the Trader Joe stuff or they show Neutrogeno or the products of the drugstores. I love those because there's really good products out there that are not expensive, but for $100 for $22, that's a size.

Um, she could not stop talking about Maddie's fair, beautiful, flawless skin. Um, and she said I don't know what I'm allergic to. I'm still allergic to I don't know what's happening to me today. Um uh she just could not, she's like, this is what we strive for in Korea is this skin, meaning Maddie's like beautiful skin, which is why they're very fair.

Okay, you literally leave it the next morning, clean. So it's not kidding. And it's a gigantic, this is a two-quart. It's like set it and forget it. It is the food, the the crop pot.
